Our primary aim is to simplify the process of traveling to different countries for our customers. We provide a convenient platform for prospective clients to compare the best airline offers from over 60 travel companies all in one place. We guarantee exceptional services at the most competitive prices.

When making a reservation, passengers must acknowledge that they have the authority to accept these terms and conditions on behalf of themselves and all members of their party. This user agreement, governed by English laws, is established between the passenger and www.thetravelhouse.co.uk.

Booking conditions

Please carefully read these Booking Terms before making any reservations. In these Booking Terms, references to "you" and "your" apply to all individuals mentioned on the booking, including anyone who is added or substituted at a later stage.

By making a reservation, you agree on behalf of all individuals listed on the reservation to the following:

  • You have thoroughly read and understood these Booking Terms and have the authority to bind yourself and all individuals listed on the reservation to these terms.
  • You consent to our use of personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy and are authorized to disclose personal information to us on behalf of all individuals named on the booking, including sensitive data such as health or medical conditions and disabilities. You are over the age of 18.
  • You accept financial responsibility for the payment of the booking on behalf of all individuals mentioned on the booking.

Agreement

As an authorized agent, we act on behalf of third-party vendors, such as airlines. This means that the contract for the product is formed between you and the supplier when you make a reservation. In addition to the terms outlined below, the supplier's booking conditions (including the airline's conditions of carriage) also apply to your reservation. It is important that you carefully read the supplier's conditions before finalizing your transaction with us, as they contain essential information regarding your reservation.

Terms and Conditions in General

These terms and conditions govern your use of this website and any electronic bookings made through www.thetravelhouse.co.uk. It is important that you carefully read and understand the Pricing section (below), our use of third-party data, and the potential implications it may have on any completed booking.

Please note that any booking or order you place will be considered an offer by you to purchase the relevant flight, package, or other holiday arrangement, subject to these terms and conditions and, if applicable, the standard terms and conditions of the relevant supplier. A contract is formed when you agree to our booking conditions and make payment.

Examining Booking Specifics

We kindly request that you carefully review your entire itinerary prior to making the booking, as well as upon receiving the final booking email from us to ensure that it aligns with your requirements. Additionally, please double-check all passenger name details, including titles, as any changes made after the booking may incur amendment fees or, in certain cases, lead to cancellation.

Sales of Air Tickets

This is where we sell or offer for sale a flight ticket only.

Many of the flights and flight-inclusive holidays on The Travel House website are financially protected by the ATOL scheme. But ATOL protection does not apply to all holiday and travel services listed on this website. Please ask us to confirm what protection may apply to your booking. If you do not receive an ATOL Certificate then the booking will not be ATOL protected. If you do receive an ATOL Certificate but all the parts of your trip are not listed on it, those parts will not be ATOL protected. Please see our booking conditions for information, or for more information about financial protection and the ATOL Certificate go to: www.atol.org.uk/ATOLCertificate.

If we sell or offer this for sale to you as an agent of a supplier, we will advise you of this and confirm to you that we act as the agent of the holder of an ATOL licence and its identity and ATOL number which will be sent to you following your booking. If we have sold to you as agent for another ATOL holder, then that other party’s booking conditions will apply to your booking. All booking conditions for our suppliers are available from us on request but will usually be available to you on their website.

Tour Operators Package

This is where you purchase through us a combination of two or more travel components of flights/transport, accommodation or other tourist services which are pre-arranged and sold or offered for sale by one of our featured Tour Operators. If you purchase a Tour Operators Package you will enter a direct contract with the Tour Operator and their own Terms and Conditions will apply to your booking. They will advise you whether the booking is protected with an ATOL licence and the extent of their liability for the performance of the overseas holiday arrangements and claims for death illness or injury occurring during your holiday.

The Travel House act solely as the Agent for the Tour Operator who has organised your holiday. Accordingly, The Travel House has no liability for the proper performance of your holiday arrangements which are matters entirely between you and the Tour Operator and their booking conditions.

All booking conditions for our featured Tour Operators are available from us on request but will usually be available to you in the Tour Operator’s brochure or on their website.

Dynamic Package or a Package Organised by Us

This is where you purchase through us a combination of two or more travel components of flights/transport, accommodation or other tourist services which are put together by us as a pre-arranged combination and sold or offered for sale at an inclusive price.

It is not a Dynamic Package where you have selected different travel components which you instruct us to combine and which are offered to you at separate prices or sold to you at different times. Should you proceed to purchase the different and individually priced travel components, we will not have sold you a “Package” and we will act only as agents for those suppliers and you will have separate contracts with each supplier of those travel components (flights/transport, accommodation or other tourist services) that you have selected.

If we have sold or offered to sell a Dynamic Package to you then the following Booking Conditions will apply:

THE TRAVEL HOUSE LTD BOOKING CONDITIONS FOR OUR PACKAGED HOLIDAYS AND DYNAMIC PACKAGES. YOUR CONTRACT IS WITH THE TRAVEL HOUSE LTD, ATOL License 11985

Your Financial Security:

When you purchase an ATOL-protected flights or flight-inclusive trip from us, you will be issued an ATOL Certificate. This section outlines what is financially covered, where you can find out more about what this implies for you, and who to contact if something goes wrong.

The services indicated on your ATOL Certificate will be provided by the providers named on your ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative) or us.

In some situations, if neither we nor the provider can do so due to insolvency, another ATOL holder may be able to offer you the services you have purchased or a suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that the alternative ATOL holder will perform those responsibilities in those situations, and you agree to pay any money owed to that alternative ATOL holder under your contract. However, you acknowledge that in some circumstances, applicability will be impossible.

Suppose we or the providers named on your ATOL certificate are unable to offer the services mentioned (or a suitable alternative, via another ATOL holder or otherwise) due to insolvency. In that case, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may make a payment to (or bestow a benefit upon) you under the ATOL program. You agree that in exchange for such a payment or benefit, you irrevocably assign to the Trustees any claims you have or may have to arise out of or about the non-provision of services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or your credit card issuer where applicable). You further accept that any such claims may be reassigned to another body if that other body has paid monies claimed under the ATOL scheme.

Pricing:

Please be aware that we rely on third-party data to determine the prices of our flights and vacations. These third parties use various methods, including cached data, to gather this information. As a result, the data may occasionally be outdated and may show flights and vacations that are either unavailable or no longer available at the displayed price.

Flight Details:

Please note that a flight described as "direct" does not necessarily mean it is non-stop. All departure and arrival times provided are estimated and are based on information provided by the airlines. These times are subject to change due to factors such as air traffic control restrictions, weather conditions, operational and maintenance requirements. It is the passengers' responsibility to check-in on time.

We cannot be held responsible if a departure or arrival time initially provided to you or shown on your documents is changed. It is recommended that all passengers reconfirm their flight timings with the airline or us within 72 hours of departure. Additionally, we are unable to make any special arrangements for you in the event of a delay, as these decisions are solely at the discretion of the airline.

We act as an agent for the airline, and they have their own terms and conditions. This means they have the right to refuse a sale after it has been made. While we strive to avoid this situation whenever possible, we cannot guarantee that it will not occur. If such a situation arises, you will be offered a flight at a higher cost, a different service, or a full refund.

Flight Delays:

We cannot accept liability for delays that are due to unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. These circumstances may include severe weather conditions, air traffic control restrictions, security issues, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen events beyond our control.

It is important to note that a delay or cancellation of your Flights does not automatically entitle you to cancel any other arrangements, such as hotel reservations or activities, even if they were made in conjunction with your transportation. Each service or booking may have its own cancellation policy, and it is advisable to review the terms and conditions of each provider.

If you have travel insurance, you may be eligible to make a claim under the delay section of your policy. Travel insurance policies often provide coverage for expenses incurred due to flight delays, such as accommodation, meals, and transportation. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand the coverage and process for making a claim.

In addition, it is advisable to contact the airline directly regarding compensation or alternative arrangements for the delayed or canceled flight. Airlines may have their own policies in place for providing compensation or rebooking options for affected passengers.

Children:

When traveling with children, it is important to comply with the rules and regulations set by the air transport provider regarding the carriage of children. Generally, children over the age of two on the return date must have a return ticket at a child fare for both the departure and inbound flights. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in the denial of a refund for any seat expenses incurred during travel. Additionally, children under the age of two will only be assigned a seat on the airplane if a child ticket is purchased. Unaccompanied minors under the age of 16 can only fly in accordance with the regulations and restrictions of the airlines.

Requested Reservations:

Some online bookings may have an "On Request" status. In such cases, we cannot guarantee availability or pricing. We will inform you of this status before you complete the booking process and will not accept any payment until the reservation is confirmed. A contract will be formed once you receive the booking confirmation and make the required payment.

Documentation:

For air travel, we typically issue electronic tickets that will be emailed to the address provided during the reservation process. It is important to review the information on the receipt and notify us within 72 hours before departure if any discrepancies are found. Please note that you may need a visa or other documents for travel to your destination. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have all the necessary documents and have checked for any special requirements before making the booking. We recommend verifying visa requirements and passport validity with the relevant Embassy visa unit and the British Passport Office. Keep in mind that some foreign countries have immigration requirements stating that a passenger's passport must be valid for at least six months after entering the country.

If any changes or reissuance of tickets are required, whether due to changes, loss, destruction, or theft, we reserve the right to pass on any incurred costs, including our administration fee, to you, provided that it is possible to do so.

The passenger can request for the paper tickets to be mailed to their address. There will be a £10.00 charge for mailing and courier services within the UK, which the passenger will have to bear.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking, unless otherwise stated in these terms and conditions, regardless of whether the arrangements are finalized. Please note that we do accept payments from third parties.

Once payment is received, we will conduct card verification checks for the protection of ourselves and the cardholder. We may request additional security documentation, such as address confirmation or a copy of the passport, to authenticate the card user. We will contact you to provide this information and will require an immediate response.

Many destinations and airlines now require the submission of Advance Passenger Information (API). Therefore, we reserve the right to request this information and passport copies to validate it for the airline and relevant authorities.

We have the right to pass on any credit card chargeback fees. All credit card transactions are non-refundable.

Airlines' Travel Limitations (Covid-19)

Due to Covid-19, airlines have implemented new travel restrictions. Each airline has its own rules and requirements for travel, and we recommend visiting the website of your preferred airline for the most up-to-date information. It is advisable to contact your airline at least 72 hours before your travel date. We cannot be held responsible if you are unable to travel due to new Covid-19 restrictions. Some destinations may have travel prohibitions or may require self-quarantine upon arrival. Travel restrictions are subject to change, so it is important to double-check the latest entry criteria before your journey. Enhanced security measures, screening, and social distancing protocols at airports may cause longer wait times and delays. Visa and entry requirements may vary for different airlines and countries, so it is recommended to consult the airline's website and the regulatory website of the destination country for relevant instructions.

Name Changes:

All tickets are non-transferable. However, where permitted, changes to passenger names will incur an administrative fee of £75.00 per person from "The Travel House," in addition to the airline's change fee and any price difference, if applicable.

Date Changes:

Most tickets are non-changeable. However, where permitted, changes to travel dates will incur an administrative fee of £75.00 per person for Economy Class and £150.00 per person for Premium/Business Class from "The Travel House," in addition to the airline's change fee and any price difference, if applicable.

Cancellations and No-Shows

Once your flight is booked, any applicable cancellation fees and penalties will apply. Please note that most fare and ticket types are wholly non-refundable. "The Travel House Ltd" has no control over these charges or the fare rules, as they are determined by the relevant airline. Please call us prior to making a confirmed booking if you require a flexible ticket that permits changes and cancellations.

To process a cancellation and refund, the email registered on the booking must notify us in writing. Cancellation may be subject to relevant charges, fines, and administration fees, depending on the feasibility of cancellation.

If partial sectors of your itinerary/ticket are cancelled, the airline will cancel all sectors, and you will not be entitled to a refund for the cancelled sectors or any other sector on your itinerary/ticket. You will be responsible for making travel arrangements for any remaining sectors.

If you are declared a no-show by the airline for one or more sectors of your flights, the airline will cancel all sectors on your itinerary/ticket. You will not be eligible for any refund for the cancelled sectors or any other sector on your itinerary/ticket. Again, you will have to make travel arrangements for any remaining sectors.

Please note that if you are traveling to the USA and Canada, an administrative charge of £75.00 per person for Economy Class and £150.00 per person for Premium/Business Class will apply, in addition to the airline's cancellation fees and charges by “The Travel House Ltd”. For travel to the rest of the world (excluding the USA and Canada), the administrative charge will be £100.00 per person for Economy Class and £200.00 per person for Premium/Business Class, on top of the airline's cancellation fees.

Airline Schedule Changes And Cancellations:

Your agreement with the airline and they reserve the right to change flight schedules without prior notice, which may allow them to cancel or make changes to your tickets. We will notify you of any changes as soon as we receive them from the airline. If permitted by the airline's terms and regulations, we can handle change or cancellation requests on your behalf. However, in some cases, we may not receive notifications from the airlines, so we kindly request that you reconfirm the flight timings within 72 hours to ensure you do not miss your flights. Please note that timetables are subject to change, and there may be an administrative fee of £75.00 per person for ticket cancellations/refunds where permitted.

It is important to note that we cannot be held responsible if you miss your flight due to flight changes. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have reconfirmed the flight timings.

Cancellation Policy for Covid-19

In the event that a flight is cancelled due to COVID-19, the airline will typically provide the following options:

  • Open Tickets: Many major airlines are offering open tickets for a limited period. However, there may be a fare difference if applicable. For partially used tickets, the date policy will be in accordance with the airline's requirements, and the airline will offer a refund based on the fare regulations specific to that booking. The refundable amount may vary from one airline to another.
  • Date Change: The airline may offer a date change option according to their policies and charges. Some airlines do not charge a date change penalty, but only the fare difference, if any.
  • Refund: If a refund is requested, an administrative fee of £75.00 will be retained in all situations.
  • Please note that no booking will be processed until we receive an email confirmation from the cardholder's registered email address containing the transaction's authorization code.
  • It is important to contact the airline or our customer service for specific details and to understand the options available in the event of a flight cancellation due to COVID-19.

Refunds

Please note that refunds will not be issued until we receive them from the relevant airline. The timeframe for receiving refunds can typically range from 8 to 10 weeks. It is important to be aware that certain taxes may not be refundable, and some airlines may refuse to reimburse fuel surcharges (which are usually included in the tax). For an exact refund amount, please contact us directly.

All credit card transactions are non-refundable. This means that if you have made a payment using a credit card, it is not eligible for a refund.

The costs for SAFI (Scheduled Airline Failure Insurance) are also non-refundable. Similarly, all payments for Protection & Bonding are non-refundable.

Please note that all reservation payments are non-refundable. This applies to all cases, and no refunds will be issued for reservation payments.

Insurance

We strongly advise you to obtain adequate travel insurance to protect yourself and your group. In many cases, the principles or suppliers of the travel services we offer require travel insurance as a condition of booking with them. Additionally, some destinations have made travel insurance mandatory. Please refer to the Foreign Travel Advice guidelines for more information.

We recommend that your travel insurance coverage includes protection against the cost of your own cancellation, medical assistance (including repatriation) in case of accidents or illness, loss of baggage and money, and other expenses. It is important to carefully review all insurance documents to ensure that all information is accurate and that you have provided all necessary details. Failure to do so may invalidate your insurance coverage.

Contract

All contracts with the provider and any issues arising from them are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

The person making the booking accepts these terms and conditions on behalf of all members of the party and is responsible for all payments on behalf of the party. You are not allowed to assign, transfer, or delegate your rights, duties, or obligations under this agreement.

The provider reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, and your continued use of this website is subject to the terms and conditions in effect at the time of use. If any provision of these terms and conditions, or part of any provision, is found to be illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions or the remainder of the provision in question shall remain in effect.

These terms and conditions, together with any other terms and conditions incorporated or referred to, constitute the entire agreement between the provider and you regarding the subject matter and supersede all previous understandings and agreements (whether oral or written) regarding the subject matter. These terms and conditions may not be amended or modified except in writing or by the provider making such amendments or modifications available on this website.

Visa

Travelers going to or transiting through the United States, Canada, or Australia must obtain an ESTA/ETA at least 72 hours before departure, even if it's just for transit purposes. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have the necessary visa documents, a valid passport, and comply with health measures, as well as complete any flight reconfirmation requirements.

For extended or overnight transits involving multiple transit sites within or between countries, it is the responsibility of the travelers to arrange necessary hotel accommodations and obtain the required visas.

Health

Each destination has its own admission procedures, immunization requirements, and other health-related measures that may vary based on the traveler's nationality. Travel vaccinations are subject to change at any time. It is your responsibility to receive all necessary immunizations, take recommended medications, and follow all medical recommendations related to your trip.

Children under 18 travelling to South Africa and Botswana

All minors traveling by air will be required to carry certified copies of their birth certificate. If only one parent is traveling with the child, certified written approval from the other parent granting permission for the child to travel will also be required.

Pregnancy

Certain airlines have restrictions that do not allow pregnant women who are past 28 weeks during the outbound or return journey to fly. If you are pregnant, it is crucial to consult with both the airline and your doctor to determine if you are eligible to travel.

Lost/Damaged luggage

As an intermediary, we do not assume responsibility for lost or damaged luggage. Any concerns regarding lost or damaged luggage should be reported immediately to the airline's representative at the airport. Please check with your airline or mode of transportation for any restrictions on checked-in baggage. Some items like power banks, e-cigarettes, lighters, and party poppers may not be permitted in checked baggage.

Liability and Warranties

The provider as well as any third-party providers and distributors, do not provide any warranties regarding the website and the materials available on it. They do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency or reliability of the content or data on the website, and they expressly disclaim all warranties and conditions, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement and those arising by statute or otherwise in law or from a course of dealing or usage of trade.

The provider acknowledges that data on the website may be loaded improperly from time to time, and if such data is found to be erroneous, they will notify you promptly. In such cases, you may choose to cancel and receive a full refund, accept the service at the updated price or select an alternative service by paying any additional amounts due. If a service is no longer available, you may substitute it with another service, again paying any additional amounts due.

The provider and third-party providers or distributors are not responsible for any damages or viruses that may infect your computer equipment or other property as a result of accessing, using or browsing the website or downloading any materials, data, text, pictures, video or audio from the website.

In no event shall the provider or any third-party providers or distributors be liable for any injury, loss, claim or damage of any kind, including special exemplary, punitive, indirect, incidental or consequential damages (such as lost profits or savings), arising out of or in connection with the use of the website, the failure or delay in using any component of the website for reservations or ticketing or the performance or non-performance by the provider or any third-party providers or distributors, even if such party has been advised of the possibility of damages.

If the provider or any third-party provider or distributor is found liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the website or its content, their liability shall not exceed £100.00. The provider may also terminate or restrict your access to any part of the website at any time without notice, without incurring any liability.

The provider's liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence is not limited or excluded.

The website may contain links to other websites for your convenience, but the provider and third-party providers or distributors are not responsible for the content of those websites. Visiting other websites is done at your own risk.

Please note that these terms and conditions may not fully cover all aspects of liability and warranties, and it is important to review the specific terms and conditions provided by the provider before making any bookings or transactions.

Force Majeure

The provider accepts no responsibility and shall not be liable for any loss, damage, alterations, delays or changes caused by unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond their control. These circumstances may include, but are not limited to, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, industrial disputes (including air traffic control disputes), terrorist activity, natural and nuclear disasters, fire, adverse weather conditions, technical problems with transportation, closure or congestion of airports or ports.

In such situations, the provider cannot be held responsible for any consequences or costs incurred as a result. It is important to note that these circumstances are considered unforeseeable and beyond the control of the provider. They are events that could not have been anticipated or avoided.

To stay informed about the current status of any country or destination, it is recommended to contact the foreign and commonwealth office or relevant authorities for up-to-date information. It is advisable to review the specific terms and conditions provided by the provider for more details regarding their policies and limitations in relation to force majeure events.

Airfares are only guaranteed upon ticketing and not upon payment.

The booking and rates are considered confirmed only when the suppliers or airlines issue the tickets. If there is any issue with your booking or payment, we will promptly inform you via email and phone. Alternatively, the suppliers or airlines may provide you with your booking's E-ticket. It is upon the issuance of the tickets by the suppliers or airlines that the booking and airfares are guaranteed and confirmed.

Special Requests (Seats, Meals, Frequent Flyer Miles, etc.)

If you have the option to request specific accommodations, such as special meals, disability facilities, or child seats, while booking Travel Services, we will forward your request to the relevant Service Provider. However, please note that we cannot guarantee that the Service Provider will be able to accommodate such requests.

Complaints

If you have a complaint regarding any travel arrangements or services provided by a third-party supplier, you must contact the relevant supplier as soon as possible. In such cases, the provider shall not be held liable for any loss or damage experienced by you. However, if you are unable to resolve any issues directly with the supplier to your satisfaction, the provider may, at its discretion, offer reasonable assistance in resolving the matter with the supplier. To request the provider's assistance in resolving a dispute with a supplier, please send an email to info@thetravelhouse.co.uk or write to Customer Services, "The Travel House Ltd, 2A Cambridge Close, Harmondsworth, West Drayton UB7 0AN", no later than 28 days from the date of your return. Please provide complete details of your complaint, including the supplier involved, any related reports you have received, and your booking reference number.

The aforementioned represents the provider's sole liability and obligation in the event of a claim by you when the provider acts as the booking agent.

Please be aware that the terms and conditions of any supplier whose services are included in your booking will apply to you and that supplier. The supplier's terms and conditions may limit or exclude liability, often in accordance with international treaties
